Hungary receives the first batch of China’s new crown vaccine and becomes the first EU country to purchase China’s vaccine

At about 10:00 local time on February 16, the first batch of Sinopharm Xinguan inactivated vaccine arrived in Budapest, Hungary, which became the first EU country to purchase China Xinguan vaccine.

State Secretary of the Ministry of foreign affairs and foreign economic cooperation of Hungary, Menzel and other government officials went to Liszt International Airport to welcome the vaccine, accompanied by Chinese ambassador to Hungary Qi Dayu.

In an interview with CCTV reporter, Menzel said that saving lives is the first priority for Hungary, and in this regard, Chinese vaccines will play a key role. What’s more, the vaccine arrived quickly. The two sides agreed that the delivery date should be no later than the end of February, but it arrived ahead of schedule today. I’m very glad to receive this batch of vaccines.

On January 29, the Hungarian National Institute of medicine and nutrition approved the use of the new crown vaccine produced by Sinopharm group, becoming the first EU country to approve the Chinese vaccine. It is reported that the Chinese vaccine will be put into practical application after being tested and approved by the Hungarian national public health center.

On January 16, the first batch of Sinopharm Xinguan vaccine arrived in Serbia. On January 19, Serbia began to be vaccinated with Chinese vaccine, becoming the first European country to use Chinese vaccine.

In the early morning of February 16, Beijing time, the charter plane dispatched by the Hungarian government to transport the new coronavirus vaccine exported by China arrived in Beijing and packed it at the airport before leaving for home.
