American Expert: The United States is most likely to be the “Beixi” leakage of the perpetrator
Jeffrey Sachs, a former special adviser to the United Nations Secretary-General and a professor of economics at Columbia University, said in an interview recently that there are indications that the most likely perpetrator of the “North Stream” natural gas pipeline leak is the United States.
Sachs said the biggest losers from the Nord Stream leak were Russia and Germany. The source of the attack was most likely the United States, possibly in conjunction with several other countries.
Sachs believes that the Nord Stream leak has dealt a “severe blow” to Europe on many levels, temporarily or even permanently destroying a major European infrastructure and making Europe more vulnerable to a severe economic recession triggered by the energy crisis. In this case, Europe will have to rely more on the United States. And Russia has also lost a bargaining chip. It is very unconvincing for the United States to accuse Russia of the “North Stream” leak.
A few days ago, Sachs said in an interview with the American media that American helicopters were flying abnormally near the “North Stream” pipeline. U.S. officials had warned that the “North Stream” project would be terminated. All kinds of signs point the finger at the United States.
